EVENTO TRASCORSO
Stage reading of 'Pamrauk, the seal-maiden
Comune di Santarcangelo di Romagna
On the occasion of International Women's Day, on 8 March 2025 at 4.30 p.m., an evocative staged reading entitled 'Pamrauk, the seal-maiden' will be held in Santarcangelo di Romagna.
The event, organised by the Pro Loco of Santarcangelo, will take place at 4.30 p.m. at the Celletta Zampeschi with free admission.
The performance by Lucie Ferrini, with Alex Magnani providing musical accompaniment, will combine fairy tale, poetry, and music, taking the audience on an introspective journey through an archetypal tale that speaks of homecoming, identity, and connection with one's wild soul.
The story of Pamrauk, also taken up by Clarissa Pinkola Estès in her famous book "Women who run with wolves", is a myth told in the cold countries of the North, where the frozen sea forms the backdrop to a universal story: the return to the soul-home, to the place from which we truly come.
The protagonist, a seal-maiden, embodies one of the most fascinating symbols of the wild soul.
The seals, docile and affectionate creatures but ready to react in the face of threats, represent the instinctual and resilient nature of women.
This tale teaches us the importance of 'feeling good in your own skin' in order not to lose your way home.
After the success of "The Tale of the Skeleton Woman", this new event promises to give the audience an emotional and thoughtful experience, enriched by a toast offered by Clementino Parco Caffè.
